The Story

I have been a photographer since I was a teenager. Cameras were how I made sense of what I was looking at. I studied photography at university and have not put it down since.

By 2014 I was photographing weddings professionally in Miami, coming up through the high-end studios there, at La Vie and KWP, on weddings that stretched across estates and entire weekends. The pace taught me how to read a room without being in the middle of it.

In 2019 I opened my own studio. The years that followed, photographing couples across the U.S., taught me what I'm drawn to most: the smaller, quieter weddings, the intimate gatherings where every person in the room belongs in it.

Then love moved my story to Amsterdam, where I'm building the practice again, more quietly. It puts me within reach of the slow weddings I want most: long meals, families traveling from far to gather, afternoons that move at the pace of the conversation. The European calendar is just beginning, and the couples who find me in this chapter will get the close attention only a quiet one can give.

The Approach

On a wedding day I move quietly. The job is to be near enough to anticipate the moment, and far enough to stay out of it. The photographs I most want to make are the ones that almost did not happen: the glance across the room, the hand squeeze nobody else saw, the half-second a face gives away what it has been holding. These do not happen on cue. They happen when nobody is performing, and the only way to catch them is to be ready, and to be patient.

The work I am most proud of is the work that does not feel like work to the people in it. The photograph nobody noticed me taking. The picture that returns the day to you exactly as you felt it, with the noise turned down and the warmth left in.

Working Together

Couples usually reach out a year ahead. We start with a call: no script, just questions about where the day takes place, what you want it to feel like, and what matters most to protect. From there, I send a proposal made for your wedding specifically: coverage, a second photographer if you want one, travel laid out plainly.

If we book, I sync with your planner as the day approaches and learn the names and moments worth protecting. On the day I am with you for the long stretch of it: the morning into the night, and through the moment the dance floor opens and the day becomes itself. After, the gallery is hand-edited and delivered to you ready to keep: the pictures that mattered, brought back as faithfully as I can give them.
